TVTSA has, for the third year running, been successful in receiving funding to host paid internships for both maths and physics undergraduate students.

We are working with National Church of England Academy and Nottingham Trent University to place five physics interns, and with East Leake academy and Loughborough University to place five maths interns.

If you in the penultimate year of a physics, mathematics or related degree and would like to find out more about teaching, receive invaluable support and earn a salary during the summer, then our four-week internship could be for you.

The internship provides invaluable classroom experience, an insight into life as a teacher and classroom management. You will be paid £300 per week (tax-free), all whilst completing a bespoke training programme and working with experienced teachers to make a real difference to the lives of our students.

Applicants will need to be in the second year of a three-year degree (or third year of a four-year degree), studying a subject suitable for the teaching of maths. You must not have previously completed the paid internship programme and you must have a GCSE grade C or above in both English and maths.

During the programme, we will also guide you through the UCAS application process for teacher training in September 2020, after graduation.

Once you have registered your interest with us, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your application and next steps.
