We’re delighted to introduce Rick Macpherson as our new Routes into Teaching Lead.
Rick will focus on recruiting trainee teachers and providing support to current trainees.
Rick expresses his enthusiasm: “After nearly two decades of working in our trust, I’m absolutely thrilled to take on the role of Routes into Teaching Lead at Diverse Academies. With extensive experience in pastoral leadership, I’ve developed a deep understanding of our school communities and the diverse needs of our teachers, support staff and students, and I’m excited to be part of shaping things for the future in a positive way.”
With a background in staff development and a genuine passion for education, Rick feels well-equipped to ensure the highest standards in teacher training and professional growth within our trust. His commitment to nurturing talent and fostering excellence has been evident throughout his career, particularly in facilitating various OLEVI programmes over the past five years.
Rick recognises the challenges facing education today and believes in the critical importance of supporting educators. He’s excited to begin this new chapter and collaborate with the exceptional team at Diverse Academies Trust to empower educators and cultivate teaching excellence in the years ahead.
