‘The Association is an excellent choice if you’re thinking of teaching because it provides you with essential skills whilst gaining practical experience in a school environment. Also, you are able to collaboratively with experienced staff who can offer support and advice to progress as a teacher.’

Kirsty Allen, former School Direct trainee

Available School Direct courses starting in September 2022 are available to view from 5 October 2021 and the application window opens on 12 October 2021.

Through Diverse Association for Professional Learning, you can apply to train in the school of your choice.  When our application window opens, we publish a list of schools available and their codes.

You can then apply for School Direct places through FIND, where you will be able to submit and track the progress of your application. The Association is provider 12K (formally known as TVTSA). You can use this code to search through our training courses.

School Experience Programme

To access our open days, you will need to register your details on the Get Into Teaching website and then apply for a school experience place via your personalised checklist on their online portal.

During the course of one of our open days, you will have the opportunity to sign up to a further ten additional days to help you build up your experience within a school. Many of our delegates also go on to apply to train with us and become qualified teachers within our alliance.
